By installing or using Unbinge, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. What Unbinge is

Unbinge is a free browser extension that filters YouTube content based on a curated whitelist and optional distraction-reduction settings. It is provided "as is" for educational and parental-control purposes.

2. Not affiliated with YouTube

Unbinge is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube, Google, or Alphabet. All YouTube trademarks belong to their respective owners.

3. No guarantee of safety

While we review channels before adding them to the global whitelist, we cannot guarantee that any channel is completely free of inappropriate content. Parents and guardians remain responsible for supervising what children watch. Unbinge is a tool to assist, not replace, parental oversight.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, bypass, or disable the extension's filtering.
  • Submit channel requests for spam, malicious, or non-educational content.
  • Abuse the API or attempt to overload our servers.
  • Resell or redistribute the extension as your own product.

5. Channel submissions

Channels you submit for global review are reviewed at our discretion. We reserve the right to approve or reject any channel without explanation. Submitted channel URLs may be stored and used to improve the whitelist.

6. Limitation of liability

Unbinge is provided free of charge. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages, data loss, or harm arising from the use or inability to use the extension, including any content accessed through or despite the extension's filters.

7. Changes to the service

We may update, change, or discontinue Unbinge or any feature at any time without notice. We are not obligated to maintain any specific version of the whitelist or extension.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms periodically. Continued use of Unbinge after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
